Less than two weeks after announcing a quarantine requirement for vaccinated travelers from the U.S., the Netherlands has reversed its decision.

The Vietnamese island of Phu Quoc could reopen to international visitors next month, and Israel will begin allowing organized tour groups Sept. 19.

Authorities in Greece say the country will remain open to U.S. visitors through at least October.

President Joe Biden is directing the Transportation Security Administration to double the fines travelers face if they refuse to mask up while flying.

Denmark is banning unvaccinated tourists from the United States. Vaccinated travelers can enter Denmark.

The Netherlands will prohibit entry among unvaccinated travelers from the U.S. and require testing and a quarantine period for those vaccinated.

Some at-home tests can be purchased at local retailers and pharmacies, and results can often be processed within minutes.

Traffic in certain corridors is expected to spike between Sept. 2 and 7 as travelers take advantage of the three-day weekend.

Some countries are tightening travel restrictions in light of new guidance from the EU, but Portugal plans to continue welcoming U.S. tourists.
