Blaze, a German Shepherd, evaded both danger and capture while roaming over roughly 10 miles in southwest Indian River County, Florida.

An 85-year-old woman died following an alligator bite, when the gator grabbed her while she was walking her dog Monday, wildlife officials said.

Officers were called for a welfare check for Marie Hoskins, as detectives worked until early Friday recovering the body and evidence from her home.
