Shaking hands with the legend has become a tradition at the Memorial and it’s something previous tournament winners never forget.

Tiger Woods was doing well early in Round 3 at the Memorial, but for the second day in row, he lost his momentum to finish well behind the leaders.

All looked good in the world of Tiger Woods in Friday’s second round of the Memorial at Muirfield Village. And then it didn’t.

Mickelson wants to hit “cute” little cuts with the shorter driver, but still wants to hit “bombs” to measure up to the lengthy Muirfield Village.

Tiger Woods, who won the Memorial a record five times, has put back on most of the weight he lost from an illness before the PGA Championship.

Tiger Woods liked what he saw of Peyton Manning’s golf game as the two were paired together in the Memorial pro-am. “He’s gotten so much better,” Woods said.

While Nicklaus said he “found lightning in a bottle,” to win his sixth green jacket in the magical 1986 Masters, he appreciated the journey Woods took to win his first Masters since 2005.
