Sen. Chuck Schumer accused President Trump of using his name on the coronavirus stimulus checks to promote his reelection campaign.

“I think when misinformation comes out or you just say something that pops in your head, it does send a wrong message,” said Gov. Larry Hogan, R-Md.

Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin were critical to President Donald Trump’s 2016 win over former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Rep. Peter King said the suggestion that states hurt by the coronavirus outbreak go bankrupt “makes McConnell the Marie Antoinette of the Senate.”

Despite recent protests against the restrictive orders, most voters support social distancing orders and want to see them continue.

“It is dangerous because it can inspire people to ignore things that actually can save their lives,” Gov. Jay Inslee said of Trump’s tweets.

The deal would include $300 billion in new funds for small businesses to pay their employees, as well as $75 billion for hospitals, Mnuchin said.

“That was my idea,” Mnuchin said of including Trump’s name. “He is the president, and I think it’s a terrific symbol to the American public.”

The White House defended Ivanka Trump’s trip to Trump National Golf Club Bedminster as “no different than had she been traveling to/from work.”
